Hey guys, what do you think about using non .com domains, do you think it hurts the business in any way? Is there any way to tell? Are there any statistics? Thanks!

.com domains is always the best, but when it's taken, you can always try to get .co or .io.

I can't say that would hurt your business, it would hurt more to not have domain/website at all

It depends on the business you run. My agency use .art (digital design studio) and i think it works perfectly.

there is belief in SEO industry that .com, .net, .org have more value in search engines over others TLD's.

@uxbites Totally depends on your product and go to market strategy. If you're a mobile app, it's more important to optimize for the App Store than Google Search - so the TLD is less important than the name. If you're working on a SaaS product, the TLD is more important because it's probably part of the app experience, and people are going to type it in - so some of the more obscure TLDs could be detrimental.

For general, .com is more open to global market. But, try local domain if your business for local, since the price is chepeast
